Affleck Bolt became the dual BGBF St Leger Champion as he followed up last years success with another performance from the top drawer to land this year's £4,000 to-the-winner renewal. He was made to work every yard for the honours as the race unfolded into a real battle with the lead changing hands numerous times. Affleck Bolt, trained by Patrick Janssens, ran out a comfortable winner of the 2nd British Bred St Leger Trial Stakes at Central Park this evening. The brindle son of Kinloch Brae-Ardrine Lunar led at the opening turn and was in total control of the contest at an early stage. He was never under any real pressure as he held a comfortable lead, eventually crossing the line by some nine and three quarter lengths.
