We reached the Semi Final stages of the BGBF Sprint at Harlow, and much like the opening rounds, we were not disappointed with some electric performances from these top British Bred sprinting stars.

The opening Semi Final went to Ballyoak Petal who followed up last week’s track record rattling run with another superb performance here, stopping the clock in a brilliant 14.70. The powerful black and white daughter of Slip The Lark and Ballyoak Alice was soon into her stride and led into the opening turn from Skyfall Venom. Rounding the two turns she held her racing line well putting the contest to bed, allowing the attention to turn momentarily to those battling for minor honours. The runner up spot went the way of Skyfall Venom who held off the challenging Trapstyle Lark who qualifies in third spot.

The second Semi Final was a very similar affair when Trapstyle Jet flew from traps to lead up the wide running Queen Dawn. Holding his position well, the son of Droopys Jet and Cairns Risky followed up his impressive opening round win with another superb performance here. In the battle for second spot, Night Covers All lay down a challenge out the second turn to Queen Dawn but it was the latter who held her position to finish second with Night Covers All in third spot. Another superb time of 14.68 by the winner here.
