BGBF Sprint Final Review

BGBF Sprint Final Review

Ballyoak Petal trained by Poole handler, Dave Lewis, came out on top in a fantastic buckle of the BGBF British Sprint at Harlow Park this evening.

Winner of her opening heat and semi final contests, this brilliant black and white daughter of Slip The Lark and Ballyoak Alice completed a unbeaten run through the competition with another supreme performance of sprinting here. In trap 1, breaking slightly behind her market rival Trapstyle Jet she showed her great early pace to lead into the opening turn. Taking up the running she was soon pursued by Trapstyle Lark who had slipped up the inside of litter brother Jet but it was all in vain as she ran out a comfortable two length winner in a scintillating 14.62, with the the fast finishing, wide running, Queen Dawn getting up for 2nd place from Trapstyle Lark.

Owned by her breeder, Keith Elliott, Ballyoak Petal has been a model of consistency throughout and was a deserving winner of the fantastic trophy, presentation jacket, and winners purse of £4,000.

The BGBF Ltd would like to take this opportunity to thank all trainers and owners who supported this competition and to sponsors, SIS, for their generous sponsorship.
