Following two high quality Semi Finals on Monday evening at Doncaster, we are now down to six super bitches for our BGBF British Bred Oaks Final, on Bank Holiday Monday at Doncaster.
Liz McNair’s Queen Franklin took the opening Semi Final, just holding off the very game Witton Derecho. The daughter of previous BGBF Oaks winner, Queen Asia, and by Leamaneigh Turbo, she led early she was pressed to the line before prevailing by half a length in in 29.57. Cozzys Fozzy landed the third qualifying spot here. Fastest overall again was Harry Williams’s Pond Natalya who landed second Semi Final showdown. The powerful daughter of Blue Artisan and Pond Tanzanite left it late but came from behind and just got to the line in front of Queen Cher, stopping the clock in 29.45. Fabulous Amity took the third qualifying spot.

The draw has been made for next week’s Final and can be seen to the right. It promises to be an exciting race with 6 exceptional bitches all lining up looking to land the glory of the BGBF British Bred Oaks title, the brilliant £4,000 prize and the fabulous trophy on offer.
